Your so spoilt for choices when it comes to eating in Margaret River, it was tough, but these are the Surfers Retreats favourite haunts.

Top 5 places for dinner in Margaret River

Pizzica is without doubt the best place for dinner in Margaret River. Ivan and his team have created a truly authentic Southern Italian dining experience. Everything from the pucce just like you would eat in Lecce, to the perfectly thin wood fired pizza and the happy fun staff mean you leave Pizzica truly fulfilled!

Be sure to make a reservation because it's no secret that Pizzica is absolutely delicious!

Mikis Open Kitchen

For a truly special dining experience you can't go past Mikis Open Kitchen. Providing a degustation Japanese fusion experience, there really are no words to fully capture Mikis. Just give it a try, but definitely book well in advance!

You'll love the relaxed setting at the Brewhouse and be surprised by how awesome the food is. No greasy pub grub, just delicious interesting cuisine. Best burgers we've found in Margaret River and we just love their Tempura Tofu. We've eaten everything on the menu and never been disappointed!

Their on site brewed beers are also a highlight, we always get some of the ginger beer to take home. Perfect on a hot afternoon with lots of ice, fresh lime and mint from the garden.

With a great playground Brewhouse is an ideal place to go with the kids. Check out their website for the live music too.

Fish and chips at the beach

The Margaret River sunsets are just magical. Duck into Squid Lips in Margaret River and pick up some take away fish and chips and head down to Surfers Point, a prime spot to watch the sun go down. There's a picnic rug for you to use in the garage and plenty of plastic glasses if you want to take a chilled bottle of Chardonnay to enjoy too!

BBQ at the Surfers Retreat

Why worry about driving when you can fire up the barbie at the Surfers Retreat? With the top of the line Webber Genesis II you have 150cm of grilling space to feed your whole crew. Stock up on produce from the Margaret Rivers Farmers Market or pop into Margaret River Gourmet Meats for all your BBQ needs. We love the italian pork Sausages and their t-bone steaks will challenge the most hungry carnivore.

As the sun sets over the bush, take in the view while enjoying a beer and grilling away.

The Surfers Retreat kitchen has an extensive supply of platters and salad bowls and everything you  need for creating Aussie BBQ magic.

Top 5 places for breakfast in Margaret River

White Elephant Cafe

Just a short drive from the Surfers Retreat at Gnarabup Beach is the much loved White Elephant Cafe. Enjoy a delicious breakfast enjoying the stunning ocean views.

Gracies General

Gracetown North Point is a great spot for experienced surfers to catch some waves, South Point for those newer to surfing. The central beach is also magical for an ocean swim of flatwater SUP. There is also a great section of the Cape to cape track for a run or walk. The best thing about some mornings actives is the breakfast at Gracies General after. We think they have the best chocolate croissants in the region, be sure to get there early!

The Margaret River Farmers Market

If you're lucky enough to be in Margaret River on a Saturday, you must get up and head to the famous Margaret River Farmers Market. You be overwhelmed by choice for break! We love to get a gelato or pastry from Claudio the Italian baker or a pork sausage with sauerkraut from the guys at Jindong Free Range Pork. The Margaret River Bakery is also at the market and their almond croissants are divine. There are also excellent coffee options. Remember to take a keep cup from the cupboard at the Surfers Retreat!

The newest kid on the block is Egberts in Margaret River. Great coffee, great pastries and wonderful smashed advacado make Egsbert a very groovy spot for breakfast.
